A POP3 account is designed for only one email client (device) to access the email address. Most email clients by default have POP3 download the messages to the device and remove the messages from the server. This may cause synchronization issues with multiple devices if not configured otherwise on each device.
An IMAP account is designed for multiple email clients (devices) accessing the email address. Most email clients by default have IMAP download a copy of the emails to that device, but leave it on the email server for management and so other devices can download it. Deleting the email message removes it from the server and other devices once they synchronize.
A forwarding account uses your domain name (email@example.com), but sends the mail to another email account that you specify. The other account can be anywhere -- firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, etc. The messages are not stored on our server, but rather "forwarded" to the other targeted email account.
Each web hosting account includes at least one POP3/IMAP email address and unlimited email forwarding. You can create, edit and delete all your email functions through the Account Manager by selecting "Email Addresses."
