Ok, this is just an update. We successfully got Wndows3 to run on the new server hardware.. now the fun stuff begins. Originally we were going to let windows3 run on its own... but for some reason the old windows3 just decided to die, so what we are going to do is put the new one online.. but we will be running upgrades on it which will take sites down.  Between each upgrade, we will verify that web sites and email are working, and then shut it down, make a backup at that point in time, and start up again to do the next upgrade.  This is going to be a long process, and it sucks that Plesk requires us to do 3 upgrades to get to the latest version, but once we are there, you guys will be very happy.

Anyhow, just hang tight, you will soon be on a much more powerful server!

We are at our last and final Plesk Linux box. We are migrating that right now to Batman. This is the final server that will be put on Batman. Please email us if you have any issues or questions:  migrations@amhosting.com

We are going to attempt to do a windows 3 upgrade tomorrow.  This upgrade comes with several parts:

Backup all of windows 3 to our back servers

Restore Windows 3 on a our new Hardware.. retiring this box

Move Plesk Windows 7 to Plesk 7.5.4

Move Plesk 7.5.4 to Plesk 8.3

Testing to make sure it works....

Starting from scratch again to reduce any data loss such a as email.

Backups will commence now, and this process will occur on a new server. When its correct, we will switch servers. Please let us know right away if you experience any problems on Windows 3. We will do our best to get you back to where you were before.  Email migrations@amhosting.com with your issues and let us know how to reproduce any problems you may be having.

We just enabled gzip compression for all Linux web servers. This will increase the performance of your site because pages will get served out faster to your viewers. This will also reduce your bandwidth usage on your account, supporting even more viewer then before under the same limits.
